French niche line Memo has launched Menorca, a new fragrance.
Menorca, early morning. The limewashed houses are still cool to the touch. Essence of bergamot. The ochre dry-stone walls shelter the memory of the island and that of a fragrance, essence of neroli. The Mediterranean waves cradle and invite a first swim beneath the rising rays, whose reflections make the bottle’s motif shimmer. They lead to the salt flats, a paradise of salt, plants and birds, vast tableaux shaped by salted musk. Art and life murmur everywhere, in the wild landscapes, in island gestures, in the trees and the lingering warmth. An evening of celebration awaits you.
“With Menorca, I wanted to recapture the sensation of salt crystallising on skin bathed by the Mediterranean, under the warmth of the summer sun. First, to capture the way light reflects on Menorca with luminous citrus and floral notes. Then to work a musk as close to the skin as possible around a mineral and salty accord, to recreate the warmth, texture and intimacy of skin carried by a mineral, crystalline freshness.” [perfumer] Sophie Labbé
Additional notes include bergamot, ginger, lemon, neroli, iris, carrot seed and sandalwood.
Memo Menorca is available in 75 ml Eau de Parfum.
